Dr. Nesbitt was a major contributor to medical literature for 45 years, culminating in a bibliography of over 230 publications that included books, scientific articles, and editorial reviews. His current prose and poetry books treat the cultural, physical, and spiritual dimensions of the human race. Twenty-five books of his collected poems have been published, which, together with twelve in press, total over 1565 poems and 1070 commentaries and reflections. Dr. Nesbitt's poems have appeared in over 75 national magazines devoted to creative writing, poetry, and essays. Dr. Nesbitt has been recognized by The International Society of Poets as a Founding Laureate (Member) and a Poet of Merit and Achievement. His poems have been published in numerous anthologies by The International Library of Poetry and, at their request, he has been a contributor to The Best Poems and Poets anthologies, 2000-2007. By invitation, his poem, "Climb to Oblivion" (Click Here to Read "Climb to Oblivion") was featured in The International Who's Who in Poetry, 2004 and "Wadies of the Soul" (Click Here to Read "Wadies of the Soul") was in 2005. Other poems have received the Editor's Choice Awards, appeared in The Poet's Corner by request of the ISP, and in 56 Sound of Poetry series of the ILP.
